Donating blood is to give the most precious of gifts. Safe blood saves lives, and Infinity was proud to kick off 2025 by sponsoring the Labuan Society’s highly successful blood donation campaign in Labuan, Malaysia.
Safe blood saves lives
Donors provide the only supply of life-giving blood for those in need. Whether it be for women who suffer complications during pregnancy or childbirth, accident and burn victims, premature or newborn babies, immunocompromised, surgical and cancer patients, donated blood can and frequently does save lives.
Ensuring a constant, regular supply of blood for those who need it is a challenge, not least because it can only be stored for a limited time.
That’s why Infinity was delighted to sponsor the Labuan Society’s blood donor campaign this month.
Not all heroes wear capes!
The Labuan Society partnered with Hospital Labuan Blood Bank and Red Crescent Moon Labuan to organise this highly successful donor campaign on Saturday 11th January 2025. Officially programmed to start at 9 am, the earliest heroes turned up at 8.30 am to donate and by 11 am the donation target was reached, two hours before the event was scheduled to end!
In total, 59 pints of life-saving blood were collected and will bring hope to those who need it.
Infinity would like to join the Labuan Society in thanking all the heroic donors who gave up their mornings to spread kindness, donate blood, and save lives.
The Labuan Society is a non-governmental organisation that focuses on community development. It was established as a platform to unite the people of Labuan under the Malaysian Family concept. It encourages individuals to set aside differences in political views, culture, race, and religion to foster unity and promote the well-being of the Labuan community through various programmes and activities.
